AMEA members have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new two-year contract with the City of Anaheim. Nearly 500 members showed up to vote—a massive turnout that proves what we already knew: AMEA members are engaged, united, and ready to fight for what they deserve.
As a part-time employee, this contract delivers:
12% in wage increases over two years
- 9% general wage increase, retroactive to July 4, 2025
- 3% general wage increase effective July 1, 2026

- Increase to Bilingual Pay
- Increase to Sick Leave Usage

The ratified agreement will next go to the Anaheim City Council for final adoption.
This victory belongs to you. To the members who submitted a record number of proposals. To the ones who packed Board meetings month after month. To the nearly 40 who showed up on a workday to speak directly to City Council about vacancies, about pay, about respect.
The City heard you. And now we have a contract that reflects it.
