Jason Perez is AMEA President and PAC Chair. He became a Board of Director in 2018, joined the AMEA Executive Board in 2023 as First Vice-President, and was elected President in 2026. He has worked at the City since 2015 in the Community Services Coordinator position for the Neighborhood Services program. In this role, he oversees programs that enhance neighborhood engagement, promote resident empowerment, and improve the quality of life of Anaheim’s neighborhoods. He is a proud Anaheim resident and Anaheim’s National Night Out Doughnut Eating Champion for 5 years in a row. 

Steven Goodwyn is AMEA First Vice President. He has worked for the City since 2005. He began his career as a Police Dispatcher and been a Police Communications Supervisor since 2010. Steven became a Board of Director in 2009, AMEA Treasurer in 2022, and then First Vice President in 2026. In 2023, he became the Second Vice-President. He is married and is the proud father of five children. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting his kids in their various activities, including football, baseball, soccer, and church. 

Heather Madrick is AMEA Second Vice President. She started with the City as a Traffic Control Assistant in 1995. She became a full-time Police Dispatcher in 1997. She was promoted to a Senior Police Dispatcher in 2011 and then promoted to Police Communications Supervisor in 2021. Heather became involved with AMEA as a Board of Director in 2021, Executive Secretary in 2022, and Second Vice President in 2026. Heather was born and raised in Anaheim and still resides in the city. She has two adult daughters, one who graduated from UCI and the other from Boise State University. She enjoys world travel and watching and playing soccer. 

Richard Sauceda is AMEA Treasurer. He was born and raised in Anaheim. He still resides in the city with his wife, raising their children. Richard started his career as a part-time employee in the Parks Division of the Community Services Department. In 2000, he became a full-time employee in the Street Unit of Public Works Operations. He was then promoted to a Lead in the Heavy Equipment Operator Division. He has volunteered for many committees at his workplace, working to improve team performance. He has been with the city since 1993. He became a Board of Director in 2020. Rich joined the Executive Board as the Treasurer in 2024. 

Veronica Guerrero serves as the AMEA Secretary and is a member of the PAC Committee, where she has contributed for the past two years. She became a Board Director in 2017 and continues to support the organization. Veronica began her career with the City of Anaheim in 2002 and currently works as a Community Services Coordinator for the Project S.A.Y. (Support Anaheim Youth) Youth Development Program. In this role, she provides case management and mentoring support to students attending Dale Junior High School and Magnolia High School. She also oversees programming at the Miraloma Teen Center. Outside of her professional work, Veronica is the proud mother of three adult children, two dogs and one cat.
