Our union has been engaged in negotiations for the past six months. The essential services we provide to Anaheim’s residents and visitors merit fair compensation, improved benefits, and the opportunity for workers to live and work within the community. These points were formally presented during our most recent negotiation session.
We’re taking action! On Tuesday, Dec. 9, at around 3:30 p.m., our counterproposal goes before the City Council in closed session—where major decisions about City labor contracts are made behind closed doors.
This is our moment to make our voices heard. AMEA Executive Committee and Board members will stand up and speak during the public comment portion before the Council deliberates. If you can, join us—outside work hours or with approval—so we show the Council our strength and unity.
